[&]History:

Phoebe's childhood is a murky jumble of memories that she prefers to keep hidden and is thus inconsequential. What does matter, however, is her recent past. Years after her father's death, Rayne's mind was exhibiting strange qualities her father had been purported to have and she suddenly became obsessed with her own dreams and nightmares, much like her father had done in his young years. She began to meditate regularly, sending herself into her own illusions, making them her reality. Her mother, Marie, was so deeply entrenched in her grief that she did not notice her precious daughter's transformation.

After a successful school career, Rayne attended a local high school and she met a man who later became her link to her future. She found herself at the Massachusetts Mutant Academy, where she began to hone her 'ability', now able to extend the duration and "presence" of her illusions.

And now, Phoebe finds herself feeling more and more disconnected from the reality, preferring to hide in her own illusions instead. She seeks a companion to ground her and to keep her head away from the clouds she so desperately finds refuge in.
